The Swiss Dream Circus – where dreams come alive

The Swiss Dream Circus has made its triumphant return to Malaysia after a compulsory 3 years break due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This time, Expats Malaysia has been privileged to be invited to watch the gala premier show and we are delighted to be conducting a backstage interview with the award-winning crew!

Let’s dive right into it !

Expats Malaysia : Our eyes have been blessed by the thrilling balancing acts and the show had our hands instinctively clenched when the performers are executing near impossible acrobatic moves. Has the show and acts always been so perfect ?

“Being a trapeze artist requires years of dedicated training and discipline. We constantly work on our strength, flexibility, and timing. Trust is also crucial between myself and my partner. The adrenaline rush and the exhilaration of flying through the air make it all worthwhile.”

Expats Malaysia : What is the most challenging part to organize the circus’ return to Malaysia?

Most challenging part was actually the set up! The heat and weather makes it difficult. On top of that, the soil on the venue was soft hence it took a long time to set up. Our dedicated team made it happen after sleepless nights, all the hard work was worth it.”

Expats Malaysia : What makes the Swiss Dream Circus stand out from other circuses?

“We craft a fresh and captivating show that strikes a harmonious balance between the traditional and modern circus. We hold a deep appreciation for the enchantment that traditional circus brings, and we strive to preserve its magical essence.

We work tirelessly to create a new show every year, and we proudly present a seamless flow from one performance to the next.”
