Meet Mikhail and Suzianna, a mother-and-son duo, the charming owners of this cozy German eatery, tucked away on the quiet side of The Curve mall. This family-owned restaurant has been serving authentic German cuisine in Kuala Lumpur for over 10 years.

Wurstsuppe Ever RM28 – We want to be cheeky and tell you it’s the worst soup ever, but it’s really not and quite the opposite. First time having saurkrautt in soup and loved it!

Currywurst RM20 – Classic German street food – Farmer’s sausage with curried ketchup and fries. 9/10.

Hashbelly RM25 – Roasted pork belly slices, bacon, roasted potatoes, leek and apple sauces. Love the tanginess from the apple sauce, perfect as an appetizer.

Hackbraten RM48 – Homemade meatloaf with a side of blaukraut (braised red cabbage) and mashed potatoes. Dear foodies, go for this!  Meatloaf is tender, moist and firm enough at the same time. And the blaukraut, tangy and sweet, I couldn’t think of a better side dish for the meatloaf, very well done!

Jagermeister RM38 – My favourite pick of this food review session, never knew egg droplet noodle could be so addictive. Cheesy, creamy flavourful, kept us wanting more!

Bavarian Smorgabord RM45 – If you are dining as a family, or with a group of friends, we would definitely recommend this. A platter of all the classic German street food made perfect for sharing, includes meatballs, langos, beer shrooms, sauerkraut balls, strudel.

Die Meinshaft RM46 – Name after the World Cup winning German national team, we just had to give this pizza a mention because it’s really really good. They are not stingy with the toppings (mozzarella, sauerkraut, sausage, pork crouton and pork belly).

Wurstplatter RM115 – Mother of the sausages platter, featuring the best selections of all their best wursts, because what is a German meal without sausages?!

I would say that dining here guarantees top-notch German cuisine and beer. I loved the quality and variety of the food, as well as the ambiance. The restaurant, situated in a peaceful corner of the mall facing a beautiful courtyard, has maintained a loyal customer base and offers a very pleasant dining atmosphere.
