Sausage KL

Originally a personal hobby, Englishman Matt Kerr and his wife Nova transformed it into a local café in response to high demand. And now, the fervor around it makes perfect sense to us!

Haggis Balls

Haggis Balls – RM 35

Pouring whisky over haggis is indeed a traditional practice in Scottish cuisine.

Thanks to Matt who generously shared a hearty portion of whisky for the haggis tasting, we now learnt about an interesting way to eat Haggis. This ritual adds a unique flavor and aromatic touch to the dish!

Just mention the secret code [ Food Review with Expats Malaysia] when you visit and Matt will come to your table to share his cherished whisky. ( We’re kidding, no secret code needed !)

Banger & Mash

Banger & Mash – RM28

We opted for English classic flavour – Cumberland sausage for this dish. The presentation is inviting, with the sausages and mash nestled together like old friends. Bursting with rich flavour and spices, accompanying with the delicious onion gravy which ties the dish together with its savory-sweet notes.

Build-your-own-platter

We absolutely love the Build-your-own-platter concept Sausage KL has to offer – it’s a fantastic way to craft our own brunch just the way we like it. With an extensive array of choices, ranging from the mouthwatering Gammon Steak Slide to the zesty Jalapeno Hamburger, the options are truly diverse and cater to every craving!

We’d recommend the tattie scones which achieved a remarkable balance between the natural sweetness of potatoes and the buttery goodness.

It’s worth noting that black pudding might not be everyone’s cup of tea due to its acquired taste and distinctive texture. But if you ask us, we’d say its an experience everyone needs to try at least once in their lifetime!

These delightfully refreshing light beers serve as the perfect accompaniment to our sausage platter on a leisurely Sunday.

Chorizo Sausage

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Matt for generously gifting us these delectable homemade treats to savor at home.

Chorizo Sausage (500g) – RM 40

Chicken nuggets (500g) – RM40

Apple pie ( Family sized) – RM49

The chorizo sausage has won an undisputed triumph among our Expats Malaysia food review team! The intense flavour and juiciness is just unparalleled, we just can’t get enough!

For families facing the challenge of getting their kids to eat veggies, we suggest trying the chicken nuggets. Crafted from a blend of chicken breast, broccoli, carrots, garlic, shallots, and cheddar cheese, these nuggets are a smart and innovative solution. Credit goes to Matt for curating this brilliant recipe – it’s a commendable choice that’s both delicious and nutritious!

The apple pie is an impeccable selection for potlucks and housewarming gatherings. Pretty and tasty !
