Pan Seared Cod Fish – RM 99
True to its menu description, the cod fish is skillfully pan-seared, achieving a delightful contrast between its crispy exterior and a tender, soft interior. We are pleasantly surprised that a restaurant bar with such aesthetic charm also prioritizes top-notch food quality!
Lamb Croquettes – RM 42
3 precious lamb kofta priced at RM35, might seem to be on a higher side on the price, but quality undeniably justify the cost. The tenderness of the ground lamb, seamlessly blended with aromatic spices, speaks volumes without overpowering the inherent freshness of the lamb. Coated with just the right amount of golden breadcrumbs, adding a delightful crunch to each bite.
Seafood Bisque – RM35
Our absolute favourite has to be this comforting seafood bisque – a mineral-rich goodness featuring prawns, squid, seabass, mussels, and crustacean foams. Served piping hot and creamy, it comes with a side of perfectly toasted bread. (the toast tastes much better than it looks) It’s a true indulgence for seafood enthusiasts!
Beef Bacon Carbonara – RM39
Despite the unconventional choice of ordering an Italian dish in a Mediterranean restaurant, it turned out to be a wonderful decision. The dish embodies the authentic flavors of fresh Parmesan cheese, rich butter, and velvety heavy cream. The playful touch of a touch of caviar on top added a delightful twist to the dish.
Paella Ala Marinero – RM105
While there isn’t a strict rule about whether paella should be dry or wet, I would personally prefer a drier version, hence this one right here is a little moist for my liking. Nevertheless, nevertheless, I do approve of the fresh ingredients pairing of shredded chicken, pineapple, turkey ham and the briny burst of fresh olives. Will be back very soon to try the seafood version!
Lemon Gin Tart – RM25
Marinero carries a range of interesting desserts, but our curiosity led us selecting this lovely piece of Lemon Gin Tart as the name itself piqued our interest. As refreshing as it looks, it goes perfectly with a cuppa espresso. Yet, I would think slightly stronger gin presence would have been lovely.
